Microsoft AD Domain Controller in AWS Cloud: Part of the solution, Kemper wanted to back up their own Windows Active Directory Domain Controller, which hadn’t been reliable in their on-premises environment. However, creating this type of network was beyond their AWS experience; this is where the Stormit team stepped in to help.

AWS Site-to-Site VPN: Stormit assisted Kemper Technology Consulting in configuring a secure AWS Site-to-Site VPN connection between their on-premises Windows environment (Active Directory) and an AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) with an EC2 Windows instance. This allowed seamless use of Windows Active Directory between AWS and their on-premises environments for securely sharing files over private IPs.

Enhanced Infrastructure Security: Stormit implemented additional security measures, including provisioning a NAT gateway and migrating EC2 instances to a private subnet. These improvements bolstered Kemper's infrastructure, ensuring data security and compliance with AWS best practices.
