We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Lead AI/ML Engineer to join our dynamic team. Because we operate in highly agile teams (typically 1-2 engineers per project), you will be the driving technical force—taking full ownership of projects from the first client conversation to final deployment on the AWS platform.
- Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of AI projects in small, agile teams of 1-2 engineers.
- Drive the project journey: from client discovery and use case mapping, to rapid Proof of Concepts (POCs), full-scale deployment, and continuous optimization.
- Design, architect, and implement complex AI/ML solutions on the AWS platform (focusing on Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker).
- Orchestrate asynchronous, event-driven AI workflows using AWS Step Functions.
- Design and implement Generative AI applications, RAG architectures, and NLP tools like Text-to-SQL pipelines.
- Train and deploy traditional machine learning models for predictive analytics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Rapidly prototype functional, interactive demo UIs (e.g., using Streamlit) to validate business value during the POC phase.
- Architect secure data pipelines and AI workloads utilizing strict AWS configurations (VPCs, encryption).
- Right-size inference endpoints and manage cloud costs to ensure high ROI for clients.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role with at least 2+ years dedicated to AI/ML and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Extensive knowledge of AWS services with a successful project history (specifically Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker).
- AWS Professional / Specialty level certification (Machine Learning or Solutions Architect) - highly preferable.
- Experience in code development in Python, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and surrounding AWS services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, OpenSearch, Athena.
- Serverless-first mindset with a proven ability to build scalable, low-overhead architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, ECS Fargate) avoiding unnecessary infrastructure complexity.
- Familiarity with Generative AI concepts like LLMs, RAG, and prompt engineering.
- Deep understanding of cloud security and networking concepts (IAM, VPCs).
- You are naturally autonomous, easily build rapport with clients, and thrive in a fast-paced delivery setting.
- Fluent in English is a must; another European language is a plus.

As the AWS Alliance Lead, you are the face and voice of Stormit within the AWS ecosystem. You aren’t just managing a partnership; you are building an influence engine. Your goal is to be the person that AWS Partner Success Managers (PSMs) and Account Managers have on speed dial. You will navigate the "Who’s Who" of AWS to unlock funding, drive joint marketing, and ensure our brand is top-of-mind for every relevant AWS sales play. You will also oversee and expand our footprint with emerging partners like GitLab.
The "Hub" Strategy (Travel & Presence)
This isn't a standard 9-to-5. To win, you need to be where the decisions are made.
- Ecosystem Immersion: You will spend significant time "on the ground" at key AWS Hubs (e.g.,Madrid, Munich, London).
- Extended Residencies: This role requires the flexibility to spend 2–3 weeks at a time embedded in these cities to foster deep-rooted relationships and attend local AWS "floor days" and networking mixers.
- Event Command: You will be our lead presence at major EMEA summits and re: Invent, ensuring our brand has the highest "social share of voice" in the room.

- Design, architect, and implement complex cloud solutions on the AWS platform, including infrastructure, application, and data layers.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform thorough assessments of existing infrastructure and identify opportunities for optimization and migration to the cloud.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and operational procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS technologies and industry trends.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Mentor and guide junior team members.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences, sharing insights and expertise on AWS technologies and best practices.
- 7+ years of experience in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of AWS services with a successful project history
